Framework: First course on the creative economy offered by a business school in Brazil. The high-level academic team is composed of professors from Fundação Getulio Vargas (the top management school in the country) and experts of international presence, mixing an in-depth conceptual approach to astonishing cases in different creative industries. The course is based on three axes: founding economics (context and emergence of the creative economy; basic principles of economics transposed to daily life; the role of Brazil in the contemporary economy); creative industries (creative spaces management; fashion design value chain; intangibles valuation; from advertising to the creative experience; games: turning experiences into businesses); and cross-sector debates (sustainability in the creative economy; creative entrepreneurship; creative clusters; tourism and development in creative cities; planning and projects in the creative economy; creative cities – main aspects and global state of the art.
