Propositional creative economy study for Itabira

At the invitation of UNESCO Brazil and with funding provided by Instituto Cultural Vale, our prospectors undertook the challenge of contributing to the economic diversification of Itabira, based on the creative economy, while considering the added, shared, and perceived values.

The project focused on three main axes and was developed through an extensive systematization of studies, intensive fieldwork observation, in-depth interviews with dozens of local leaders and creative entrepreneurs, and a series of meetings with small representative groups from the city.

Completed in December 2021, the project was presented to UNESCO, the Itabira City Hall, Instituto Cultural Vale, and representatives from various units of the company. Since then, several of its actions have been implemented, driving local creative development.
