How can the recognition of singularities and their organisation into a district help boost development and unleash new opportunities for civic well-being? Starting from the showcase of Lisbon, Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires and Medellín, focus was brought to Bahia, Salvador and, most especially, Pelourinho. A day of intense debates, reflexions and mobilisation, engaging civil society and with the participation of public managers and entrepreneurs.
